CDN rejects TSJ’s attempt to validate fraud against Nicolás Maduro

The Nicaraguan Democratic Concertation (CDN), rejects the attempt by the regime of Nicolás Maduro to legitimize the electoral fraud, through a resolution of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela, which also seeks to legalize the coup d’état against the popular sovereignty of the people who on July 28 expressed themselves at the polls, overwhelmingly in favor of Edmundo González Urrutia.

The resolution of the TSJ constitutes an evident fraud to the law, since this judicial instance lacks competence on electoral matters; furthermore, its partiality and submission to the dictator Maduro, makes the resolution absolutely null and void. Therefore, it cannot validate the immense electoral fraud that is intended to be consummated in order to guarantee Maduro’s permanence in power.

We ask the governments of democratic countries and organizations to join us in rejecting these useless and perverse games of Maduro and the Venezuelan military leadership, especially because the judicial nonsense issued by the TSJ does not present any justification or valid support to make transparent the results it intends to validate.

The demand to publish each one of the minutes and to carry out an impartial verification has not been fulfilled. The Nicaraguans represented in the CDN recognize González Urrutia as president-elect, and we demand that the democratic community close ranks around the defense of the popular will of the Venezuelan people.

Venezuelans decided at the ballot box and their decision must be respected!
