CDN-Monteverde announces internal reorganization process

The Nicaraguan Democratic Concertation CDN-Monteverde, is in a reorganization process that will promote changes both internally and externally, with the purpose of advancing in the consolidation of a political proposal to end the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo.

The Concertación is made up of 50 members who participate in their personal capacity in this plural, diverse space for political action that seeks a civic exit from the dictatorship and the construction of a democratic society in Nicaragua.

From the CDN-Monteverde, we are preparing to continue to take action at the next General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), to be held in Asuncion, Paraguay from June 26-28, to approve the resolution calling for the full and immediate release of all persons imprisoned for political reasons; reaffirm Nicaragua’s responsibility to continue complying with its international legal obligations; that the Group of Voluntary Countries continue to maintain a proactive position; and urge countries to make use of the spaces offered by international law to stop the violations that continue to be committed by the Ortega Murillo regime.
